Introducing the Diamond Family

Posted by Caroline and Stephen Diamond at 21:41 on 10th August 2015

We write this now with good news and bad news! As you may well know tomorrow was our departure date to India, but due to us no longer joining our original planned project, and now going with a open remit we will fly on 1st September.  The friends receiving us into India are at the moment in the UK but will be returning themselves at the end of August, hence why we have delayed our flight date.  We will still be going to Kolkata, but now will join Cyan International to be Partnership Development Consultants.

As you can imagine the last 3 months has been a really emotional journey for us as a family, and we have felt tested again along the way, but we have seen God’s hand in it all, and He has faithfully gone before us and prepared the way forward.

It’s also a time to thank the 24/7 Partners not just for their money, but for their prayers, support, cards, emails and encouragement. Thank you for the financial support during our time of training, but please if you are able to we would love you to stay being a partner with us as the real adventure is just about to start!
We would also like to thank our Partner churches, families and friends for your loyalty, encouragement, prayers, generosity, care and love shown to us all during our time here in Birmingham.  It really has made a difference, and we are looking forward to sharing our journey with you in the weeks and months ahead.

We heard yesterday that Stephen’s employment visa has been accepted.  We just need to add the Diamond girl’s visas to it and we will be good to go!

We have spent the last week in our home towns of Andover and Devizes saying some of our last goodbyes. It has been lovely spending time with friends and family, but as you can imagine it’s emotionally very hard too.  We are reminded of Phillipians 4:13 (NKJV) ” I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me”.
Thank you again for your support, and your prayers will be gratefully received over the next 3 weeks as we pack up to go to India at last!
